AmbarasKate McDonald306bb1134bc892ab2ada669bed7aecb100ef7d5fThe history of Japan-Fuqing relations in the imperial era (Temporality 1) faded into obscurity amid the chaos of war and the rupture in Sino-Japanese relations from the 1950s to the 1970s. But it reappeared in the 1990s, after more than a decade of renewed relations between Japan and Fuqing/Fujian/China had produced new forms and intensities of movement and intimacy.
