Acknowledgments
Bodies and Structures began as a chance encounter at an Association for Asian Studies panel in 2016. Since then, we have hosted three conferences, three builders' workshops, worked closely with fifteen module builders and our development team at the Alliance for Networking Visual Culture, and benefited from the time, treasure, and generosity of numerous institutions and individuals. We thank you for your support and commitment. We could not have done this without you.

The Scalar development team at the Alliance for Networking Visual Culture, Erik C. Loyer and Craig Dietrich, have been wonderful partners throughout this process—always responsive to our multiple “could we do this?” queries, generous with their time, and fully committed to producing tools and an environment that advance the needs of scholars and students. We appreciate as well the support we've received from Tara McPherson and Curtis Fletcher at ANVC, and from Michael Morgan in implementing the new Scalar tools.

Finally, thank you to our families and friends, who tolerated hearing about this project for two years—during most of which time the world was also ending. Thank you to those who supported our family systems and institutions when we got up early and stayed up late to join synchronous Zoom meetings. Thank you for hanging on for just one more sec while we finished thoughts on Slack and Google Docs. Thank you to those who stuck with us when it felt like we were stalled. And thank you to the newest members of our extended Bodies and Structures family, Connie and James, for coming into this world right when we needed boosts of good news. It's been a long road. We are glad to see you all at the end of it.
In memory of those lost to COVID-19.
