Collective waiting room for child patients

All children were first brought into the collective waiting room, which was marked by a yellow flag and guarded to prevent children from leaving. Potential "pox bases," however, were led to the "pox base" waiting room after registration. Only very few children were allowed to bypass the collective waiting room--for example, the twelve children appointed by the town government each time a vaccination event was held to serve as backups and ensure that the vaccine did not die out at times of fire or rough weather.
